Earlier today, it was reported that the popular human rights activist, journalist, and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, returned to Lagos state today after three years of his arrest by the Department of State Service in 2019.
Omoyele Sowore entered Lagos state to attend the memorial lecture held in honor of the late human rights lawyer and activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, in Lagos. During Omoyele Sowore’s speech, he revealed some of the things he did alongside Femi Falana (SAN) to save Peter Obi‘s candidacy in the Labour Party.
As reported by Punch news, Omoyele Sowore said, at the time when Peter Obi was trying to get the presidential ticket of the Labour Party, the party got confused as there are pressure from different people that Peter Obi should not be made the Presidential flagbearer of Labour Party.
Sowore explained how he and Femi Falana intervened in the matter and defended the issue using some legal action.
