Poland attacker, Robert Lewandowski scored a brilliant hattrick in his first Champions League game for Barcelona, as his new team opened their Champions League campaign with a 5-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

Franck Kessie headed the Catalan Giants in front after 13 minutes, before Robert Lewandowski took over, scoring twice before the first 45 minutes, before completing his sixth Champions League hattrick in the 67th minutes.

Robert Lewandowski Champions League hattrick at the Camp Nou against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday night saw him become the first Barcelona player to score a hattrick at the Camp Nou since 2020, after Lionel Messi’s hattrick against Eibar in February, 2020.

Robert Lewandowski also became the first player in the Champions League’s history to score hat tricks for three different club’s (Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and now Barcelona).

The Poland forward now has eight goals in five matches for Barcelona since joining from Bayern Munich in the summer.
