Talk about a shinning example of a golden or large heart, TrendyNews finds one in a Russian journalist Dmitry Muratov, who won the Nobel Peace Prize last year and has auctioned off his medal for $103.5 million on Monday, with proceeds donated to help Ukrainian child refugees.

All funds raised by the auction of Nobel prize medal will be donated to UNICEF to help all countries that are hosting Ukrainian refugees, including Poland, Russia, Germany, Moldova, Slovenia.

Dmitry Muratov, editor of the independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta, said he hoped the bid on the Peace Prize medal would encourage others to help Ukrainian refugees.

The most ever paid for a Nobel Prize medal was in 2014, when James Watson, whose co-discovery of the structure of DNA earned him a Nobel Prize in 1962, sold his medal for $4.76 million. Three years later, the family of his co-recipient, Francis Crick, received $2.27 million in bidding run by Heritage Auctions.
