Somebody In The Presidency Is Backing Atiku’s Camp & I Will Reveal The Person’s Identity- Gov Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike made the decision to respond to the controversy roiling the People’s democratic party while speaking at the commissioning of a project in Rivers state. In his speech, Governor Wike stated that many people believe his opposition to the party is a result of his loss to Atiku in the party’s presidential primary. However, Wike asserted that this is untrue because the presidential primary has passed and that the fight now is to ensure that the party’s presidential candidate and chairman do not hail from the same region.

When asked why the candidates were so arrogant, Governor Wike responded, “I can tell you that they are arrogant because they believe that someone in the presidency is backing them, but what they don’t understand is that the same person in the presidency backed someone in the APC presidential primaries, and that person failed. I will tell Nigerians at the appropriate time who is backing them and making them arrogant, so you people should be careful about the way they concoct.

Governor Wike stated that all he is fighting for is for them to uphold the agreement that the party chairman would step down if the presidential candidate is from the north. Wike further stated that if they are unable to uphold the agreement now, what will happen after they win the election?
