24-year-old Awoniyi celebrates 4-year wedding anniversary – ‘Blessed to be married to someone as wonderful as you.’ He wrote.
Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi has taken to social media to celebrate his wedding anniversary.
On Thursday, June 16 Awoniyi and his wife celebrated the special occasion.
The 24-year-old has had an outstanding season with Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga.
Awoniyi and his wife Taiwo Jesudun got married on June 16, 2018 in Ilorin.
After an engagement in Kabba on June 15 June, Awoniyi’s wedding took place in Ilorin.
His wife on the other hand posted a picture involving her husband and son with a message that said, “Happy anniversary to us, I am so blessed to be married to someone as wonderful as you. Happy anniversary Ayomi.”
Despite his impressive season, Awoniyi was not included in the first list by Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro for the recent 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
