Oluwatobi Daniel, also known as Kizz Daniel, a Nigerian singer, was apprehended by Tanzanian authorities on Monday afternoon.
Due to his refusal to take the stage at a planned concert on Sunday, the musician was detained.
After missing a paid performance in the nation of East Africa, Kiss Daniel was detained at the Oyster Bay Police Station, Civil Police in Dar es Salaam.
Kizz Daniel was scheduled to play at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania on Sunday night as a part of his Afro Classic World Tour.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), which confirmed the development on its Twitter handle on Monday, said: “His (Kiss Daniel) legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria.”
