In an interview with Arise News, the presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party, Yabagi Sani, spoke about the issue of ASUU. He called it evidence of irresponsibility.
He was asked by the reporter how he was going to solve the lingering ASUU issue. In replying to the question, Yabagi Sani said that the issue is evidence of the irresponsibility of those in the state of affairs who are toying with the future of the country.
He further said that in every sane environment, education is the number one priority, and even the United Nations recommended that about 26% of the budget must be given to education.
He added that 20% can first be given, then increased gradually, and that this 20% will go a long way in the education sector. He said they should be able to come up with something that will address the issue.
