[ad_1]

Former England International, Peter Crouch has disapproved of the decision from the Premier League to postpone EPL matches for this weekend in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.

The premier League announced the cancelling of all matches this week due to the death of the queen. This announcement was made known by the league Executive, Richard Masters on Friday.

Former England striker, Peter Crouch has however tagged this as unnecessary. The former star player affirmed the fact that the queen should be respected but there are better ways to do that instead of postponing all matches meant for the weekend.

Crouch said, as our longest-serving monarch, she has been an inspiration and leaves behind an incredible legacy following a life of dedication. The former player however opined that the matches should have been played with Black bands, silences observed, national anthem, Royal band playing etc to the millions around the world watching.

Isn’t that a better send off ?”.

In reactions to this many football Loving fans agreed with him.
