The national leader and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attended the event of the APC Northern Speakers Forum held in Abuja on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
The APC vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, was also present at the event.
The Director-General of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Governor Simon Lalong, was also present at the event.
At the meeting, the speakers unveiled the Tinubu-Shettima Door to Door 2023. The campaign group was formed for the actualisation of Tinubu’s 2023 presidential bid. Dozens of vehicles were unveiled for the campaign group during the event.
The presidential candidate was spotted without his popular cap at the event. Tinubu wore a cap that is common among Northerners at the event.
The event comes a few days before the official campaign for the 2023 presidential election kicks off. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the campaign will kick off on September 28, 2022, and the election will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2022.
