The APC Presidential Campaign Council has hit back at the PDP for abusing its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, saying Atiku Abubakar is a perennially failed candidate.

Primate Ayodele said some big names would defect to LP to destabilize the party.

He warned that some big names don’t mean well for the Labour Party ahead of the 2023 elections.

In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said Obi can pull surprises during the presidential election.

Hundreds of members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ifedore local government area of Ondo state have defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defection, according to The Punch, took place at the PDP secretariat, Igbara-Oke, the headquarters of the council area, on Monday, September 5.

The Federal Government on Monday suspended the controversial 5% excise duty on telecommunication services recently announced by the Ministry of Finance and Nigerian Customs.

The suspension was made known by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, during the inaugural meeting of the Presidential Committee on Excise Duty for the Digital Economy Sector in Abuja. The minister, while announcing the decision, explained that the telecommunications sector is already overtaxed with multiple taxation.
