No Need To Panic, Wike Tells Supporters Afraid For His Life

The internal wrangling within the Peoples Democratic Party heightened on Tuesday when Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, said he can’t be killed no matter the intimidation and the threats.

“If you are a Rivers man, you don’t need to be intimidated by anybody…We must take our rightful position. So, nobody should be worried. Intimidating me? Some people tell me, ‘Oh, be careful, they will kill you’. Kill who? Who told you, you will not die first?

“Those of you who are panicking, you don’t need to panic. I have God, what are you afraid of? They have chased us, they fought us but today we are standing very strong,” Wike said when he commissioned the Etche Campus of Rivers State University in the Etche Local Government Area of the state.

Disappointment as CNN postpones Peter Obi’s interview indefinitely

The Cable News Network (CNN) has postponed indefinitely the much-awaited interview with a Nigerian Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Obi, Presidential candidate of the lowly Labour Party in Nigeria’s next year’s presidential election, has been gaining momentum on social media, metamorphosing to off-social media or physical campaign.

Obi has been in the US meeting with Nigerians in Diaspora, seeking to gain their support for his presidential ambition.

APC slams Ayu for ‘insulting’ Wike, ruining PDP

The All Progressives Congress has slammed the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, over the crisis within the party.

The APC, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, obtained on Tuesday, slammed Ayu over his failure to grasp hold of his party’s affairs. The APC mocked Ayu for not taking responsibility for his comments on Wike.

The statement partly read, “As he struggled to deny a statement credited to him that Governor Wike could not father a child, Ayu alleged, ridiculously, that the APC and “other mischievous people” were planting such stories in the media and stoking the feud between him and the Rivers State Governor.”

2023: Atiku disowns diaspora groups raising funds for his campaign

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation has disowned diaspora groups seeking to raise funds for the 2023 election.

Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation (AACO) revealed that the group seeking to raise funds known as Atiku Abubakar Business Supporters in Diaspora (AABSID) is unknown to it.

AACO in a statement, Tuesday said the group is distributing a letter titled “Fundraising Dinner Event for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Presidential Election Campaign 2023” to potential donors and members of the general public inviting donations to Atiku’s campaign in exchange for unfettered access to the PDP candidate among other promises.
