The Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, says he is richer than the President of the United States, US, Joe Biden.

Obi said he is richer than Biden, who is worth $8.9m, because God had “over blessed” him.

To this end, the former Anambra State governor said he would not steal public funds if elected President in 2023.

In a viral video where he was addressing some of his followers in the US, Obi said: “If I take public money that I’m not entitled to, God should punish my children and me, not because of anything but God gave me enough.

Tinubu Lampoons PDP, Says We Are Smarter Than Them

All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has derided the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over its crisis ahead of the polls, saying the APC is smarter than the leading opposition party.

Tinubu, who stated this during the inauguration of the campaign logo and vehicles of the “APC Northern Door to Door for Tinubu Shettima 2023” by the Northern APC Speakers Forum, in Abuja over the weekend, said APC, as party of thinkers and doers, does not have to engage the opposition still struggling with its leadership.

Ogun To Redesign Sango Ota Drainage System

The Ogun State Government is set to embark on clean-up and redesigning of all drainage networks in the Sango Ota area of the state.

The exercise is in conjunction with the Ado-Odo Local Government, Traditional Chiefs and Communities Development Associations.

A statement made available to journalists on Sunday quoted the state Commissioner for Environment, Mr Ola Oresanya, as saying that the exercise will also involve the maintenance of old drainages and the construction of new ones.

The commissioner, who visited the town on an environmental inspection tour, said the exercise will not only bring relief to the residents but will preserve the government’s investment in road infrastructure in the town.

Workers Demand Police Service Commission’s Boss Resignation

Civilian members of staff of the Police Service Commission have called for the immediate resignation of the chairman of the commission, Musilu Smith, as the indefinite strike embarked on by its members enters its second week.

The striking workers, who met in Abuja during the weekend, vowed to pass a vote of no confidence on the commission’s board headed by Smith, a retired Inspector General of Police, over alleged ineptitude.

In a statement made available to The Punch by the chairman of the Joint Service Union, PSC chapter, Mr Adoyi Adoyi, the striking workers vowed to launch a massive protest soon if Smith refuses to quit and their demands not met by the Federal Government.
