The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum Chairman, Aminu Tambuwal, has resigned from his chairmanship position.

Tambuwal, who is also the Sokoto State Governor, announced his resignation at the ongoing PDP National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.

Few minutes after his resignation, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, emerged as the new PDP governors’ forum Chairman on Thursday.

The Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike has described the resignation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Senator Walid Jibrin as an insult to the Southerners Jibrin resigned Thursday during the BoT meeting in Abuja.

The University of Ilorin has appointed Prof. Wahab Egbewole as the institution’s new vice chancellor.

Wahab was announced as the new vice chancellor by the Governing Council at press briefing held at the Council chamber of the University on Thursday evening.

Chairman of the University governing council, Mallam Abidu Yasid, made the announcement.I

Egbewole becomes the 12th Vice Chancellor of the University and will take over from Professor Sulyman Abdulkareem whose tenure will expire on 15th of October 2022.
