Wike Made Sacrifices To Sustain PDP- Party Secretary

The national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Samuel Anyanwu, has said that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has made “immense sacrifice for the sustenance of the party.”
Anyanwu, in a statement issued in Owerri, Imo state, on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Ikenna Onuoha, said he never made comments against Wike in regards to the crisis rocking the party.

Buhari To Address UN General Assembly

President Muhammadu Buhari will address the 77th Session of the high-level General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday, September 21.
A revised provisional list of speakers released from the Office of the General Assembly President on Tuesday showed that Mr Buhari would be the first speaker on the second day of the gathering.
Ikpeazu Vows To Sue Lawmaker Over Alleged Threat To His Life

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has vowed to sue the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State constituency in the State House of Assembly, Ginger Onwusibe, over alleged threat to his life.
Onwusibe, who dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Labour Party, LP, where he is contesting for the Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 election, was alleged to have threatened the governor’s life at an event, in Obingwa council area.
Bandits On Patrol In Katsina

A group of armed bandits have reportedly “arrested” a scavenger, for stealing in Katsina State and handed over to the authorities.
The scavenger, whose name was not immediately ascertained, is said to be a middle-aged man.
5 Dead, 4 Injured In Jigawa Boat Mishap

At least five persons have been confirmed dead in a boat accident at Martaba village of Gwaram LGA of Jigawa State.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Jigawa State, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said four other persons were rescued.
