Yoruba Nation Will Be Achieved Before 2023 Elections – Akintoye.

A Yoruba Leader and Head of Yoruba Nation Self-Determination Struggle, Prof Banji Akintoye has declared that the Yoruba Nation will be achieved before the 2023 general elections.

He also disclosed that the Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho will soon return to his base in Nigeria.

He made the declaration on Friday while speaking with Nigerian Journalists at the Yoruba Central office, Cotonou in Republic of Benin.

The Professor of history disclosed that with the level of consultation and diplomatic moves by the group, he is optimistic that Yoruba Nation is certain before the elections.

He said despite the fact that Yoruba kinsman in person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is contesting the presidential election, that would not in anyway affect the actualisation of Yoruba.

Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after the UK’s longest serving monarch died on Thursday.

The Queen, who reigned for 70 years after coming to the throne in 1952, died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle.

Her eldest son, Charles, the former Prince of Wales, will lead England in mourning as the new King.

Reacting, Jonathan, in a tweet via his Twitter handle, said the late Queen was a champion of social change and a protagonist of modern Britain, adding that her death will be deeply felt globally.

Buhari Visits Imo To Commision Projects Sept 13.

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to visit Imo State again for the commissioning of more signature projects built by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The executive council of the state confirmed this after its weekly meeting, that President Buhari will on, September 13, 2022 pay a one-day visit to Imo to commission the two signature road projects of the 3-R administration, as well as the newly reconstructed Imo State House of Assembly complex.

Rising from the meeting on Wednesday, commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba who confirmed the president’s second visit to Imo, said Imo people residing in all the nooks and crannies of Imo State cannot wait to receive their beloved president.

Troops Kill 252 Terrorists, Arrest Informant, Foreign Weapons Supplier.

Defence Headquarters (DHO), said troops of operation Hadin Kai arrested terrorists informant in Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, and a foreign terrorists logistics supplier and arms dealer Mallam Abatcha Bukar, and 13 other terrorists in Borno State.

The director defence media operations Major General Musa Danmadami, who disclosed this during the bi-weekly update on the Armed Forces of Nigeria operations between 25th August 8th September 2022, said three abducted Chibok girls and 19 other kidnap victims were rescued.

General Danmadami stated that the troops neutralized 252 terrorists while 556 suspected Boko Haram/slamic State of West Africa Province terrorists and their families, comprising 115 adult males, 189 females and 252 children, surrendered to troops at different locations in the period under review.
