No Bullet, Bomb Can Silence Peoples’ Agenda-Ekwe

AHEAD of the 2023 general elections, the Labour Party has condemned what it described as a cowardly attempt to scare the members of the party in Enugu State during its meeting, saying that no cartilage of bullets and cache of bombs can silence a peoples’ agenda and resolve which time have come.

Labour Party also said that the people of Enugu State have made up their minds to vote massively for the party in the 2023 general election and no amount of subterfuge and intimidation can stop the moving train.

The reaction came on the heels of the reported attack the party suffered while holding its meeting in the state on Sunday, 4th of September 2022.

There’s Dignity in Labour, Piety — Oyedepo Tell Nigeria

The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (aka Winners Chapel International), Bishop David Oyedepo, yesterday advised Nigerians to imbibe the culture of hard work and shun laziness.

The cleric also said those who truly exhibit the fear of God lay the foundation for a glorious future.

Oyedepo said these in his sermon at the ongoing 40th Holy Ghost Convention of the Christ Life Church, titled: The King of Glory, at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan (UI), the Oyo State capital.

The church was founded in 1983 by Bishop Wale Oke, who is the current National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

A group, Concerned Nigerian Women for Atiku on Wednesday said programs outlined in the manifesto of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, contained messages of hope for the womenfolk.

This was disclosed by the convener of the group, Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, at the inauguration of its Southwest zone.

Adeleke-Sanni, in a statement obtained in Osogbo, while speaking at the inauguration, said gone were the days when women would only be heard, but not seen during the decision-making process.

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, denied nursing grudges against the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Tinubu clarified his scheduled meeting with the National Working Committee of the APC at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to him, it is rare to see big masquerades dance in a cage instead of the market square. The roundtable, which was earlier slated for 10.00 am, did not commence until five hours later.
