TWO STUDENTS OF NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY, AWKA, DIE IN THEIR SLEEP.

They died apparently from carbon monoxide poisoning from generator fumes. The generator was found in a closed place facing the room. The cause of death will be ascertained after autopsy.
It was learnt that, the bodies of the students were discovered on Sunday, February 20, 2022, after Room One of the hostel, located at the William’s Lodge, was forced open following a report to the police by parents of the deceased.
The two students, a male, and a female, might have died some days earlier, due to the level of decay on their corpses.
Adaeze, the female of the two dead students, had not been picking calls from her parents over the last couple of days and this got her parents suspicious.
With several calls not responded to, the parents, in the process got apprehensive and subsequently reported to the Police.
The parents in company of the security operatives arrived the hostel but, they met her door securely locked.
Forcing the door open, they found the two students lying dead in the room.
