When I Learnt APC Is Going For Muslim-Muslim Ticket, I Told Oshiomhole & Tinubu My Worries – Bwala

The spokesman of the Atiku-Okowa 2023 campaign, Daniel Bwala while being interviewed on the Voice of the People FM Radio on the reasons he left the APC he has vehemently defended in the past said it is because he of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the party. Bwala said,

“In my case anyway, I think that the reason why I left APC has trended for more than one month or close to a month now. First of all, no decision was premised on the policy of the flagbearer, who decided to appoint as Vice Presidential candidate a Muslim, thereby making the ticket a Muslim-Muslim ticket, and I have had this discussion with them after the primary with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole when I presume that might likely happen with him. I also discussed this with Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila long before the decision was made to make clear my position regarding the party. And my position is that the Muslim-Muslim ticket will not work.

“Well, I didn’t say I was going to leave. I said to Tinubu that I have worries about the Muslim-Muslim ticket from the point of view of national unity to a political party, and three, the fact that it will not engender peace at this critical moment. From these three individuals, I’ve had talks with the emphasis on their point of view that it is about winning the election. And I feel that it is more than winning the election, a political party is more than just winning the election.

“It is meant to be an ideological Association, that tends to deliver good governance and foster national unity. Because as a politician, at some point, I say that any political party that fails to imbibe by the Spirit, a belief to do what is right or what is moral, is not a political party, that it is a conspiracy to seize power. So that means when you say it’s about winning the election, that means it can be achieved with whatever you wanted, by whatever means necessary. But we all know that in life is not everything you get. You didn’t get it because you felt you should get it by whatever means necessary. How you get it is as important as the fact that you’ve got it.”
