Eight (8) players have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for August. Each of the players has played an important role in the success of his club in August.
Considering the performance of each of the players, the award is between Erling Haaland and Gabriel Jesus, but the Arsenal FC forward deserves the award more.

He became the first player in the Premier League to score nine (9) goals in his first five games, which include two (2) back-to-back hat tricks.
On the other hand, Gabriel Jesus displayed a sensational performance for the Gunners in his first (5) games of the season. Though he only managed to score three (3) goals and as well provided three (3) assists, that is, six (6) goals contribution. He broke the record set by Mesut Ozil as the player with the most goal contribution for the Gunners in his first five (5) Premier League games.
Critical examination of the performance of both players, that is, Erling Haaland and Gabriel Jesus, the Norwegian gets more help from his teammates than the Brazilian in the colour of Arsenal. Gabriel Jesus struggles for the ball than Erling Haaland who only receives the ball from his teammates to score.
