The audacity of the Ruling Party All Progressive Congress to opt for a Muslim-Muslim ticket ahead of the 2023 election remains questioned. An Arise TV Analyst, Mr. Kayode Otitoju has explained the intents of the ruling party and why they are not so bothered about their risky choice.
Mr. Kayode analyzed that the APC believes the North West is already conserved for them because this is where the current President hails from and also this is where so many diehards APC supporters reside. He alleged that this observation has prompted their decision to have a Muslim-Muslim without looking at the deficiencies in the choice. He said, ”To APC they think the North West is already secured for them because the President is from that region and people like the governor of Kebbi, Kaduna and the diehards’ supporters will secure that for them.”
However, the Arise TV Analyst still explained that the APC still needs the votes from the South who are predominantly Christians and according to him, they are unhappy with the decision being made by the ruling party.
