Wike: Aggrieved PDP Members Must Be Consoled, Carried Along – Shehu Sani Says

Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal legislator who served as Kaduna Central’s representative in the 8th National Assembly, has asked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership to make sure that all disgruntled members are supported in the fight for power in 2023.

According to DAILY POST, Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and his supporters had disagreements with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, and Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, after the results of the party’s primary elections.

The party’s stakeholders had tried unsuccessfully to break up the dispute because Wike and his team insisted that Senator Ayu resign.

Shehu Sani, however, stated in a post on his social media accounts on Friday that disgruntled party members should be consoled and supported but should not turn against the party.

Ayu received a vote of confidence from the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) on Thursday, stating that he will not be stepping down soon.
