Executive governor of Rivers state and former presidential aspirant, Nyesom Wike has revealed that the presidential candidate of the people’s democratic party, Atiku Abubakar came to his house after the presidential primary and told him that the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu must resign his position
Nyesom Wike who made the remarks during the commissioning of Ahoada campus, Rivers state,
stressed that Atiku Abubakar told him after he [Atiku] emerged as the presidential candidate of the party that Iyorchia Ayu must go because the party chairmanship should go to the south.
According to Nyesom Wike, all he is saying is that Atiku Abubakar and Iyorchia Ayu should implement what they said. You will recall that the national chairman of the people’s democratic party, Iyorchia Ayu had reportedly stated prior to the PDP’s convention that he was going to resign if a northern candidate emerged.
Nyesom Wike stressed in his submission that Atiku Abubakar should implement and stand by what he told him.
