According to Vanguard Newspaper, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, a Nigerian lawmaker representing Nasarawa-South senatorial district, has advised the member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), against laxity and negligence in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The former governor of Nasarawa State made this known while speaking at the party’s stakeholders’ meeting convened by Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House, Lafia, the state capital, where he noted that with the introduction of the introduction of electronic voting system, it is expected that the election would be a tough one.
Therefore, he made it clear that in order for the APC to retain power in the forthcoming election, the political party needs to work hard and not underestimate the opposition political parties.
Finally, the former governor urged the members of the political party who lost during the primary election to continue working for the good of the political party in order to ensure that there is unity in the political party ahead of the election.
