Insecurity: Okafor Anyanwu speaks on differing views between Ortom and FG over herders’ attack in Benue

According to a news that was published by the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper Online yesterday evening, it was reported that the chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Imo State, Prince Marshal Okafor Anyanwu, has reacted to the issue of insecurity that is presently ravaging the country.

When he was told to give his opinion, as the federal government called on security experts to assist in tackling the insecurity in the country, Prince Okafor Anyanwu said he was completely in support of the call.

He said, Nigerians know how long it took President Muhammadu Buhari to think about the security architecture that is manned by mostly northerners because, most of the Service Chiefs in the country presently are people from the North, as this is making insurgency to gain ground every day in Nigeria.

He said, “If you hear Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State shouting on top of his voice every time, calling the federal government to assist him in tackling the herdsmen who are killing his people and taking over his land, the Federal Government will respond by labelling the attack as, farmers/herders clash.”

Prince said, it is wrong for the FG to refer to such as farmers/herders clash because, the two never cohabited as he said hopefully, the security experts will look into this.
