Despite defeating Bournemouth 9-0 a week ago, the reds looked toothless throughout the match against Everton today and they could only settle for a goalless draw.
Liverpool are looking like the Arsenal team of last season or the Man Utd before the match against Liverpool this season. It is no doubt that the sale of Sadio Mane has affected the effectiveness of the team’s attack, yet the squad depth of this Liverpool attack could pull a title charge without the Senegalese.
Mo Salah hasn’t been in his usual free-scoring form this season and it has also affected the form of his team along with unexpected defensive blunders from Van Dijk.
The season is still in its infancy though and Jurgen Klopp will be looking to do the necessary things to get his team firing again and perhaps, chase the league title. If that doesn’t happen though, we might be seeing the Arsenal and Man Utd of last season at Anfield this season.
