Eze Ignitus Asor, the traditional leader of the Obudi Agwa village in Imo State’s Oguta Local Government Area, was reportedly shot and killed by gunmen on Monday.

Journalists were told by residents that gunmen rushed the palace where a disagreement between neighbours was being resolved and started firing on the ruler.
The community’s traditional prime minister, Chief Stephen Ajoku, was shot and wounded, along with two palace chiefs, two other residents, and two other people.

Later, the thugs invaded a nearby Mgbala hamlet where they murdered a pregnant woman and a local security guard.
