This move, as disclosed by the state Commissioner of Works and Water Resources, Tokunboh Wahab, on social media, is part of the government’s efforts to reclaim the coastal road alignment for the Lagos – Calabar Highway project initiated by the Federal Government. Additionally, the demolition serves the purpose of urban regeneration in the area.
