Lagos Government Initiates Urban Renewal: Clears Illegal Structures in Jakande Estate and Maiyegun, Lekki to Facilitate Federal Highway Project

The Lagos state government today, March 11, took decisive action by demolishing illegal structures and shanties constructed around Jakande Estate and Maiyegun, Lekki. This move, as disclosed by the state Commissioner of Works and Water Resources, Tokunboh Wahab, on social media, is part of the government’s efforts to reclaim the coastal road alignment for the Lagos – Calabar Highway project initiated by the Federal Government.
