Election had just been conducted. In the eyes of local people, it is the worst in their recent history. Violence was taken to a height unimaginable.
People were killed, others were maimed, ballot boxes were snatched and its contents destroyed with active connivance of security agencies and INEC officials.
Local and international observers had harsh words for the umpire, INEC, for doing a shoddy job and not allowing the will of the people to prevail.
Results that they had promised would be transmitted electronically from the polling units straight to their server and for which several billions of tax payers money was invested, never happened.
At the end of the process, a winner emerged. In this video, one of the contestants and the Labour Party standard bearer, Peter Obi, held a word press conference in response to what transpired and his next step.
