Peter Obi Swelling Igbo’s Political Relevance -Umahi

Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, has predicted victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s elections, picking the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, as his second favourite.
Umahi disclosed this on Friday to State House correspondents after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to him, he met the President to invite him to commission the new Ebonyi State Governor’s Lodge, which construction his administration just completed.
He also said the current Peter Obi political movement would go a long way to prepare the environment that will make an Igbo presidency possible in the future.
Biden Mourns Q/Elizabeth II

US President, Joe Biden has led international tributes in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The British’s longest-reigning monarch died on Thursday at the age of 96 at her Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Biden in a statement said the Queen was a steadying presence and a source of comfort and pride for generations.

Accord’s Imumolen Speaks About 2023 Elections

The Accord Party presidential candidate, Prof. Christopher Imumolen, on Friday, said the 2023 elections will produce many surprises.
He added that the outcomes of the election will surprise many Nigerians, with claims that the frontline candidates may fail to win the presidential election as being assumed by many.
In a statement on Friday by his campaign organisation, Imumolen while sharing plans on how to win next year’s election said a candidate with a detailed strategy like him will win the presidential election and not noise.
Gov Bala Tasks NIPR On Peace

Abdulkadir Mohammed has challenged members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to promote peace and cohesion in Nigeria.
The governor said this while speaking at the 2022 annual general meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and book launch held at the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.
Bala who was represented by his special adviser on media and publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, said as image makers, public relations professionals should exhibit high sense of responsibility in prudent management and dissemination of information.
Court Reinstates Adamawa APC Chairman

A high court in Yola, Adamawa State, has reinstated Ibrahim Bilal as the state chairman of All Progressives Congress.
The court, however, stopped Hon Smaila Tadawu from further parading himself as chairman.
Mr Ismaila Tawadu was installed as chairman on Monday after the purported removal of Billal by the members of the party’s State Working Committee.
