Governor David Umahi has vowed to work against the 2023 presidential ambition of Peter Obi, a movement he described as being “anchored on equity, justice and fairness”.
Mr Umahi said Mr Obi’s ambition “may not translate to outright win because I must defend my party; I must wish my party well and I have the ticket of my party.”

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Bola Tinubu have paid respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed on Thursday afternoon.
People Gazette reported that the longest-serving British monarch died in Balmoral, Scotland.
In a thread of tweets on Thursday, Mr Jonathan described the late monarch as a “well-loved sovereign with a strong sense of duty and service, a champion of social change and a protagonist of modern Britain.”

A former national chairman of Petroleum Tanker Drivers Branch of NUPENG, Otunba Salimon Akanni Oladiti, has declared that players in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry are quite optimistic that presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would instill sanity into the sector if elected in the 2023 polls.
Oladiti, who visited the APC presidential campaign secretariat in Abuja in his personal capacity as chairman of SA Oladiti and Sons Nigeria Limited, was accompanied by members of the union from Lagos Zone.
