Sowore Accuses Peter Obi Of Accomplishing Nothing During His Time As Anambra State Governor

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights advocate and presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), has claimed that Peter Obi, the nominee of the Labour Party, is not a threat to his bid for the presidency in 2023.
He claimed that the former governor of Anambra State was a supporter of the outdated system that he had long opposed and accused him of accomplishing nothing for Anambra during his tenure as governor.
He claimed that Peter Obi is not the change that Nigerians are waiting for despite their cries for change.
He stated the following in a Peoples Gazette report: “I don’t see Peter Obi as a threat. He is part of the old system that I have always fought. He is not new to the rotten system. Someone who was Governor for eight years, we can be emotional about it, but that is the truth. He didn’t build any schools, he didn’t build any industry, he didn’t have a power station. He’s not my kind of progressive.”
Speaking further, he added – “Nigerians want to change, some young people are genuinely interested in change, a different direction. And then they are presented with somebody who worked for the establishment; somebody who has been in PDP, APGA, come back to PDP, Labour Party.”
