The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company has said that some parts of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State will experience blackouts for 10 days.
The period of darkness would be from Tuesday, September 6 to Monday, September 15, 2022.
This was made known in a statement from the DisCo on Sunday, giving reason to be the replacement of old panels at its Igando injection substation.
The company added that the replacement of the panels was needed to improve the quality and quantity of power supply to the stated areas.
“As part of our efforts at improving the quality and quantity of power supply, we have decided to replace old panels at our Igando Injection Substation.
“This exercise will last for 10 days, from Tuesday, 6 to Monday, 15 September, 2022.
“Feeders affected are General Hospital, Obadore, Egan, Akesan, Igando-Ikotun, Agric Road and New Igando.
“We appeal for your understanding during this period. Thank you for allowing us to serve you,” the statement read in part.
