All State Chairmen Of Labour Party Including Abuja, Have Passed A Vote Of Convidence On Their National Chairman, Julius Abure.

Meeting in the Edo State capital, Benin City, the 36 states Chairmen of the Labour Party, LP, including Federal Capital have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their national chairman, Barr. Julius Abure.
This was made known by Kehinde Rotimi, Kwara State Chairman and Speaker, All Chairmen Forum of the Labour Party while briefing journalists in Benin City as a result of the court order retraining the national chairman, Julius Abure from parading himself as the national chairman of the party.
Rotimi said they were in Benin City to pay a solidarity and support visit to the national chairman as a result of the new development in the party.
“I want to thank Nigerians for the support they gave to us during the last general elections. We are making effort to recover our mandate in the  Presidential and other positions in the court. We will also allowed the due process to take its course. Two days ago we heard about court order refraining our chairman from parading himself as chairman of our party. We believed that they did not follow the due process. Because the party Constitution says such member must be given a fair hearing which was not done.
“We Chairmen are saying no. The people involved have left our party and has since adopted another party. They are no longer members. No division in Labour Party. Julius Abure took the party from scratch to where it is today”.
On his part, the Edo State chairman of the party, the host, Ogbaloi Kelly thanked the party Chairmen  for the solidarity visit to tbe national chairman.
He said they were solidly with Peter Obi in his efforts to reclaim his mandate at the court, adding that in recent times some dissidents have been trying to fight them in the party. He further said that the enforcement agents have been properly briefed about the matter and those found wanted will be punished accordingly.
While responding, the national chairman of the party, Julius Abure thanked them for the show of love and commitment to the party, adding that this action will further reenforce his determination to work for the party.
“I want to assure you that a new Nigeria is possible. No one can stop an idea whose time has come. I will continue to work for the progress of the party.
“First, in the history of democracy in Nigeria our party have been able to change the narrative in the politics of Nigeria. All the drama you are presently seeing in the party is the handiwork of the opposition, having seen the progress the party have made within a record time. We will certainly over come it”.
