Asisat Oshoala May Not Return To Action Immediately After Injury Setbacks

[ad_1]

Asisat Oshoala’s return to the pitch maybe further delayed as Primera División referees in Spain are currently on strike.

The 2022 African women’s player of the year, who picked up an injury in July at the women’s Afcon in Morocco, returned to training last week but expectations to return to action is unlikely to happen since the league’s referees are on strike at the moment.

The Primera División referees made this shocking announcement on Thursday after meeting with the Spanish FA.

They have decided not to direct the matches of the Women’s First Division due to their current economic and working conditions.

They insist on not calling off the strike action unless the FA meet their demands.

The demand includes improved current conditions, salary increments, professional recognition of referees, and the signing of a new resolution to establish some competitions of the Royal Spanish Football Federation(RFEF) and the Professional Women’s Football League(LPFF).

The season is supposed to start on Saturday( today).
