The Olubara of Ibara, in Ogun State, Oba Olufemi Omolade, has charged those in positions of authority to always prioritise poverty alleviation and empowerment programmes to sustain the welfare of the people.

The monarch commended the organisers for rising to the responsibility of assisting the people despite the hike in prices of commodities.
He also encouraged citizen to place more value on the demand for good governance rather than the exchange of cash and other items as politicians prepared for the 2023 elections.
In a remark the Minister in charge of the church, Pastor Ayoyinka Akinyosoye, explained that the community empowerment programme was part of the church’s contributions to the society as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
