Bwala Presents Proof That Keyamo Sued Tinubu Over Alleged Certificate Forgery When He Was Lagos Gov

The Spokesman for Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, Daniel Bwala, recently sparked reactions in the media when he revealed that the Minister for State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, dragged the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to court over alleged certificate forgery when he was Governor of Lagos State.

Bwala stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm. To back up his claim, Bwala presented proof which was the law report, Keyamo V. House of Assembly, Lagos State (2002) 18 NWLR (Pt. 799) 605.

Reading from the document, he said – “This is the Supreme Court decision in the case I have cited, and I will just read a line: The appellant alleged, amongst others as a legal practitioner, that he has been confronted by some of his clients who wanted to understand certain things they consider important relating to their contesting the governorship in Lagos State. He further (that is, Festus Keyamo) alleged certificate forgery against the Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that the latter was not qualified for the office of the governor.”

Bwala added that the certificate that Keyamo was challenging forgery was that everything Bola Tinubu presented which granted him the opportunity to run for the office of the governor of Lagos State was fake and forged. He said that Keyamo went to court, not to represent a client, but he was the appellant in the case – Festus Keyamo versus Lagos State House of Assembly.

As we already know, Festus Keyamo is the official spokesman for the All Progressives Congress President Campaign Council for the 2023 election, and he is one of Tinubu’s strong supporters.
