Real Madrid has been tabbed as the favorites for this season UEFA Champions League by Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola made this statement prior to Tuesday’s Champions League match between Man City and Sevilla.
Remember how Man City was eliminated from the Champions League by eventual champion Real Madrid in the semi-final round?
Last season, Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final in Paris to win their 14th overall championship.
“Every year, people question me. You always have the chance to try again in sports. We are reportedly the favorites to win the Champions League. Real Madrid, however, has to be my favorite team every year, Guardiola stated (via Daily Mail).
