Chelsea chiefs made a personal phone call to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after Tuchel was sacked

After firing Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea’s management reportedly called Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the phone. Despite the German‘s departure, The club has guaranteed Aubameyang his place there.

In the last days of the summer transfer window, Tuchel pressed for the acquisition of the former captain of Arsenal. Aubameyang had a very successful period while playing for Borussia Dortmund under the 49-year-old.

After signing his Chelsea contract, Aubameyang praised Tuchel in a speech.

According to a source, Aubameyang was astonished and shocked by Tuchel’s departure. Chelsea authorities understood that the 33-year-old would likely find the news challenging to digest.

So, Aubameyang received a phone call from Chelsea chiefs. They told him that Graham Potter shall be his manager and that he wasn’t just signed because Thomas Tuchel was there.

According to reports, Aubameyang appreciated Chelsea’s kindness. He is currently concentrating on getting accustomed to using the mask especially made for him in Milan last week.

Paul Merson, a former Arsenal player who is a Chelsea supporter, questioned why Chelsea signed Aubameyang when Tuchel’s dismissal was imminent. Merson believes the Gabonese star was merely acquired, in contrast to rumors, to please Tuchel.
