CNN has postponed indefinitely the interview with Peter Obi, a Nigerian presidential candidate.

Obi, the presidential candidate for Nigeria’s Labour Party in next year’s presidential election, has been gaining traction on social media, transforming into an offline or physical campaign.

Obi has been in the United States meeting with Nigerians in the Diaspora in an effort to garner their support for his presidential bid.

His interview with CNN’s Zane Asher, a Nigerian-born journalist, was scheduled for September 3, 2022, but was postponed until September 6, 2022.

Today, however, the interview scheduled for 5 p.m. did not occur because CNN postponed it indefinitely without announcing a new date.

In its place, a documentary about the new British prime minister, Liz Truss, was broadcast.

Since they have been promoting the interview on social media since the morning, Obi’s supporters are extremely dismayed by his absence.

Obi’s Media Advisor, Valentine Obienyem, stated that the interview had been postponed but did not provide a new air date.

“The Nigerian public and Nigerian observers are hereby notified that the highly anticipated CNN interview with Mr. Peter Obi will not take place today.”

Nigerians and all men and women of goodwill will be notified if and when such a forum takes place.”Thank you,” he said.
