Gunmen kidnapped Alhaji Sani Ahmed Toro, the former Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Garba Yila, the former Assistant Coach of the Flying Eagles, and one Alhaji Isah Jah on Saturday.
The three men were kidnapped on the Abuja-Jos route on their way back from a wedding ceremony for the son of former NFF President, Aminu Maigari, in the nation’s capital.
Ahmed Wakil, a spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, confirmed the event to journalists in Bauchi on Sunday.
He did pledge, though, to brief journalists on the three men’s kidnapping later.
