If We Think By Killing Deborah People Will Stop Insulting Our Prophet, Then We Are Delusional – Gumi.

Popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has reacted to the lynching of Deborah Samuel, the 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, who was accused of making blasphemous comments against Prophet Muhammad.

While speaking to a congregation at his Kaduna Juma’at Mosque, the cleric said that during the lifetime of Prophet Mohammed several non-Muslims insulted him but he didn’t react because he did not want to be tagged a killer. Sheikh Gumi stated that in Islam, no one has the right to take the law into his hands for any reason. He added that if Muslims want to show love for the Prophet, they should follow his teachings and emulate his lifestyle instead of killing people for trivial reasons.

Sheikh Gumi also advised fellow Islamic clerics to impact sound religious tenets on their followers. He further said that, If they think by Killing Deborah, people of other Faith Will stop insulting their Prophet, then they are delusional.
