Just In: Dr. Doyin Okupe, The DG Of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council Has Been Convicted By A High Court For Money Laundering.

Dr. Doyin Okupe, the Director General of the Labour Party Campaign Council, has been convicted of money laundering by Federal High Court presided over by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.
Okupe was arraigned for a 59 count of alleged money laundering and diversion of funds totaling N702 million by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a decision reached on Monday, Justice Ojukwu found Okupe guilty of violating sections 16(1)&(2) of the Money Laundering Act by accepting cash payments in excess of the Act’s threshold.
