The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), not to invoke its name in the party’s “mess.”
Reports state that Ayu asserted the APC was inventing news articles to fuel the enmity between him and Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike.
In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, the national publicity secretary of the APC, Barrister Felix Morka, asked Ayu to bear his cross and said that the party in power does not make up stories “like the PDP.”
In an attempt to disprove a claim attributed to him that Governor Nyesom Wike could not father children, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, national chairman of the opposition PDP, made the absurd claim that the APC and other shrewd individuals were fanning the flames of their rivalry with him and the governor of Rivers State by putting such stories in the media.
Because of the internal combustibles in the party he leads, Chairman Ayu is obviously trapped in quicksand and swinging wildly in search of outside parties to blame.
“With such an escape-focused mentality, it is simple to understand why his leadership has been unable to resolve the PDP’s crisis. He lacks the moral fiber and candor to accept ownership of the problem in his party, so how can he possibly handle it?
“APC avoids interfering in the internal conflicts of other parties, in contrast to the party of Ayu, and doesn’t falsify news. The PDP is unsurpassed in how well it does this. In any case, the PDP is irreparably collapsing, therefore there is no need for outside intervention.
