Erik Ten Hag may have to continue playing Rashford in that position because Manchester United score most of their goals this season on the counter-attack. Rashford is more suitable for a counter-attacking football because he can play all the positions in the attacking department, this makes him comfortable on any side of the pitch he finds himself whenever the team is on a counter-attacking move. His pace also allows him to beat players easily when in motion.
One of the things that Manchester United lacked in their Europa League defeat to Real Sociedad is the fact that they don’t have an attacker that can bring all the other attackers into the game. Rashford has assisted Antony and Jadon Sancho this season because he can make his teammates perform alongside him
