Some People Told Me To Be Careful That They Will Kill Me – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Says

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has said that some people have advised him to be careful so that he doesn’t get killed. He said that he is a Rivers man, and cannot be intimidated by anyone. The Governor stated this on Tuesday while commissioning the Rivers State University campus in Etche, Rivers State.
In the report which was made by Daily Post, he said – “Since you are a Rivers man, you don’t have to be intimidated by anybody. Some people told me to be careful, they will kill me. Who told you that you would not die first before you come for me?”
The Governor also accused some members of his party (PDP) of negotiating with the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari, in 2019, which he claimed helped the President in being re-elected.
Since the conclusion of the PDP presidential primary election which saw Atiku Abubakar emerging as the flag bearer of the party, Wike has been embroiled in a crisis with the leadership of the party. The crisis has led to speculations on his political future, with some people wondering if he will leave PDP or will continue to stay in the party.
