Nothing Wrong With Nigerians Studying In Ghana, Benin Republic – Minister of Education

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has expressed his opinion on the condition of Nigeria’s Education while speaking on Channels TV programme few minutes ago. When asked what legacy the President Muhammadu Buhari would be leaving behind in the education sector of the country, Adamu Adamu responded by saying that there is no government in recent times that has made university education accessible like the Buhari administration.

The Minister who assured Nigerians that he would do everything within his power to make sure that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is called off, revealed that the Goodluck Jonathan administration signed agreements with ASUU without any intention of implementing them.

Responding to the question of the thousands of Nigerians who are seeking university education in African countries like Ghana and the Benin Republic as a result of falling standard and uncertainty of tertiary education in the country and which has consequently piled more strain on the Naira, Adamu Adamu said he did not see anything wrong with that.

The Minister went on to recall how China used to send out about 100,000 students every year to study abroad in 1979.
