Super Eagles star Calvin Bassey has the most completed passes in the match day 1 of the UEFA Champions League

Super Eagles of Nigeria prolific and versatile defender, Calvin Bassey has been enjoying a blistering run of form so far in his senior professional football career since breaking to limelight with the Scottish Premier League giant Glasgow Rangers.

His top notch performance for the team in the last campaign got him attracted to other top European clubs which prompted his final move to join Netherlands Eredivisie Champion, Ajax Amsterdam where he has been able to replicate his superb run of form by being unbeaten so far since making his debut for the club.

He was able to extend his mind-blowing performance to Europe as he was at the commanding end for his team in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League against his former club, Ajax Amsterdam where they won with a massive four goals to nil.

In the game, Calvin Bassey has a record of 142 passes completed which was the most of any player in the sixteen matches played in the two days of the match day 1 across different venues.
