What You Must Know Before Driving Across Rail Tracks.

By Ebor Cletus Ralph Jr.

This incident could have been avoided had the car occupants or the driver knows this:

People should know that they are on suicide mission when a train is nearby and they try to drive pass the rail. The train generates a huge strong magnetic force. Rail tracks are ferromagnetic, and once the car is on the track, the engine will go off. Also, because of the magnetic field, the metals in the car could get locked up tight together hence making it difficult to open the car doors. So, for those who wonder why she couldn’t drive off, or if the car broke down or …this could be why.

Now, a train that looks far away from like a 100m, travelling at like 150km/hr will cover 54m in a second and a 100m in less than 2 seconds and can hit an object within 2-3 seconds over the same distance. Also, it’s pretty difficult for the trains to apply brake at such a short distance.

The summary of all these is simple: Do NOT try to cross a rail line when a train is approaching! Very instructive!!!!!
