Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) stated that he has reform plans and investment to implement in the education system if he win the upcoming presidential election in 2023.
It was reported by Vanguard that Atiku made the statement through his official Twitter account on Thursday, marking the International Literacy Day 2022.
According him, it’s embarrassing that the Nigeria’s education system is as broken as every other sector of our national life in the country.

Atiku said, “There is a nexus between literacy and development, but our current literacy level in the country can not bring the development and improvement we want. Because of this, I plan to invest and reform our education system.”
The PDP presidential candidate, pledged that if elected in 2023 he will collaborate with state governments and put more attention to the early education that ensures the ability to write and read.
Recall that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had been on the ongoing strike since 14 February, 2022 because of “failure” at the part of the federal government to meet with their demands on funding of the university education system.
