The 2022/2023 season Uefa Champions league returned on Tuesday with some of Europe’s biggest clubs playing their first ever group games.
There were some shock results but most of the teams expected to win, did so. So we will take a look at all the confirmed big results in the Uefa Champions league on Tuesday night.
Here they are:
The defending Croatian champions beat Chelsea 1-0 in the surprise result in the opening day of the UCL. Zagreb played better the Blues and deserved the win.
2. PSG vs Juventus
In the game of the night, French giants, Paris Saint Germain hosted Juventus. It was a fascinating encounter with PSG and French star, Kylian Mbappe scoring twice to hand his team a 2-1 win over Juventus.
3. Sevilla vs Manchester city
Sevilla hosted Man City at home with Pep Guardiola’s team thrashing the Spanish side, 4-0 with Norwegian Forward, Erling Haaland unsurprisingly scoring in the game. Haaland scored twice to take him to 12 goals already this season.
4. Celtic vs Real Madrid
Scottish club, Celtic hosted defending UCL Champions, Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti’s team dominated and beat them 3-0 with Luka Modric, Vinicius Jr and Eden Hazard all scoring to give Los Blancos the win in their first Champions league game of this season.
